Justin Camp: Odyssey-Encounter the God of Heaven

Justin Camp is a writer with a heart for adventure. He created the WiRE devotional for men. He is also a co-founder of Gather Ministries, a nonprofit he runs with his wife, Jennifer. Prior to this he was a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley and a lawyer on Wall Street. Justin, Jennifer, and their three children live in the San Francisco Bay area.

He joins me to talk through the mission of 40 Days for Life, the Unplanned film, his latest devotional, as well as the momentum the ministry is gaining in the fight to end abortion.

Michael Johnson: Future Marriage University

A long time ago, in a house far away I answered a phone call from a guy named Michael Johnson. I was a DJ and radio station programmer while he was hired to sell me on the latest song from a major record label. Little did either of us know that 14 years later, we’d still be friends, not the FB variety-but friends in real life.

Michael, or MJ as he prefers, and his bride Julie are the Dean’s of the Future Marriage University. Now hang on, don’t tune me out here…..The Johnson family has a great deal to say, and you need to hear it! (It doesn’t matter if your’re married or divorced or whatever, listen) So does the youth and young adult ministers at church! It’s future, marriage, and a Lot More! (trust me)

David Vanderpool: Live Beyond!

Dr. David and Laurie Vanderpool started doing volunteer medical work 22 years ago, providing free health care in developing countries that suffered from either natural or man-made disasters. In 2005, the Vanderpools formally founded Mobile Medical Disaster Relief (MMDR) after Dr. Vanderpool and his eldest son, David S. Vanderpool, provided emergency medical care across the Mississippi coast after Hurricane Katrina. Soon after the hurricane, Dr. Vanderpool expanded his relief efforts to provide medical care and disaster relief abroad. They ran temporary medical clinics in war-torn and impoverished countries like Ghana, Mozambique, Iraq, Honduras, and South Africa. 

In 2010, an earthquake devastated Haiti. Dr. Vanderpool was a first responder to provide care to thousands of patients affected by the disaster. After spending 12 days seeing patients with horrific injuries, performing countless operations, and witnessing the desperate need of Haiti, the Vanderpools felt called to help the Haitian people and provide a lasting impact in this country. Soon after this, MMDR rebranded itself as LiveBeyond.

David S. Vanderpool joins me to inform and educate us about what is happening in Haiti with LiveBeyond in 2019.

Jay Lowder: The Time for Harvest is Now

Jay Lowder is a dynamic communicator whose contemporary style enables him to connect with adults and students alike. Called to full-time evangelism in 1989,Lowder is the founder of Jay Lowder Harvest Ministries, an organization dedicated to reaching diverse groups of people with the message of Jesus Christ. Through his ministry, Lowder travels the globe to football stadiums,schools, churches and even under shade trees in Africa to provide a message of hope to the hurting. 

Drawing from personal experience, Lowder is committed to reach those who struggle in everyday life. At a young age, Lowder turned away from God and headed towards a life of destruction, eventually reasoning that his life was no longer worth living. One fateful day, Lowder considered suicide with a pistol at his temple; however, his attempt came to an abrupt halt when his roommate unexpectedly walked through the door.
